Always act as if uninsured and take all possible steps/ measures to minimize the loss. Keep the damaged items intact and in safe custody till our appointed surveyor inspects the loss. If there is any urgent requirement to move the affected property/items it should be moved under guidance and in consultation with surveyor.

Notify the local fire station, police authorities, metrological department and other civic authorities as per law and local practice. Also immediately intimate us about the loss with all the relevant details about the loss.

Always keep the damaged property/material in the safe custody till the visit of the surveyor and completion of the inspection. Quantify the loss the best you can and provide the readily available documents to the surveyor, it will help surveyor assess the claim.

All relevant information about loss event i.e. how, when, and where the loss has happened along- with the loss estimate should be shared with the surveyor. This will help us assess the loss and process the claim smoothly.

The repairs/replacement should be carried out on receipt of the confirmation from the appointed surveyor to carry out repairs / replacement. Do retain all necessary documentary evidence related to repair/replacement for record.

It is important to keep the salvage safe and dispose off under guidance and in consultation with surveyor. Do retain all documentary evidence of salvage disposal proceedings for record.
